Plan your visit

Floors Castle is not only a Duke’s family home, but also the heart of the diverse Roxburghe Estates in a beautiful part of the Scottish Borders. Just over an hour’s drive from Edinburgh and Newcastle, visit this stunning Castle and see for yourself the collection of fine art, porcelain, newly restored tapestries, grand rooms and superb views.  We have woodland and riverside walks, formal and informal gardens and lots of lovely places to walk the dog, or to sit and watch the world go by.

We are dog friendly!
Dogs on leads are very welcome throughout the grounds and gardens (no dogs inside the castle please).
There are tie up / water points, treats and alfresco dining at the Terrace and Courtyard Cafes so they needn’t be shut in the car.

Covid-19 Update: The Walled Garden, Millennium Garden and Terrace Café (with a new autumn menu) are open daily. (please note: Standard garden admission fees apply).

The safety of our visitors and colleagues is a priority, therefore we kindly ask that all visitors reserve an arrival time online here. (Admission tickets can then be purchased separately either online or on arrival).

Table service has now been re-introduced within our Café, however tables are limited, as we continue to adhere to the Scottish Government guidance. To make a table reservation, please call: 01573 225714. We will also be continuing with our picnic style take away option for those who would prefer to sit at our outside seating area.

Please note the Castle, grounds and the main gates to the Estate on Roxburgh Street are closed throughout the autumn and winter seasons. Access to the site is via the Terrace Café and gardens entrance on the B6397 only.

We are doing all we can to ensure you have a safe visit. Read our latest safety measures here.
