Spooky Stories

Monday 21st October, 10.30am and 11.30am

Pre-school - Primary 2 children are invited to our Spooky Stories event in the Queens House this half term. Located within the beautiful walled garden at Floors Castle and opening its doors exclusively for this event, this pretty summerhouse was built as a place for Queen Victoria to enjoy a cup of tea during her visit to Floors in 1867.


Pop-Up Christmas Shopping Event

Saturday 2nd - Sunday 3rd November, 10am - 4pm

Step into the festive season with our first ever pop-up shopping event. The perfect opportunity to start the Christmas shopping and find special gifts for family and friends. Beautiful homeware, stocking fillers, gourmet hampers bursting with homemade Castle produce and handmade Christmas goodies are just some of the delights available.


The perfect time of year for a day out at Floors

October is almost here, however the autumnal gardens and grounds at Floors are looking as beautiful as ever. Until the end of September the Castle and grounds will still be open daily. There is so much to discover and enjoy; start planning your day out today...


The latest from our garden

With the warmer temperatures of late and the extra rainfall, there is still so much to see and enjoy in the Walled Garden at Floors. We caught up with Andrew and Laura yesterday to chat about their plans for the garden this week.


New Autumn Menu Now Available in the Terrace Café

Come and try our delicious new autumn menu at the Terrace café. Open daily all year round the café is the perfect stop for a relaxing lunch or afternoon tea. We also have a fantastic children's menu too! 


The Great British Food Festival 14th-15th September

Set on the lawns at Floors Castle, there will be over 75 food, drink and gift stalls, tasty street food, lovely bars, chef demos, artisan talks, children's activities and entertainment and live music all day. Join us for a fabulous, family day out, 10am-5pm both days!


New this week in the garden at Floors

This week in our garden blog, Head Gardener at Floors Castle, Andrew Simmons, focuses on an exciting plant trial currently being undertaken for the Royal Horticultural Society.

This week, Head Gardener, Andrew Simmons and his team are focusing on removing spent flowers from herbaceous plants in the Spring border. As we catch up with Andrew for our latest blog, he gives an insight into why this is done and the benefits to the garden.


Flower Arranging from the Garden

Wednesday 24th July, 10.30am – 1pm

Arrange Flowers from the Garden with floristry expert, Laura Eberst. A guide to creating a beautiful hand-tied bouquet using flowers from the herbaceous borders at Floors Castle.

In this exciting workshop Learn how to condition and arrange flowers from the garden, whilst making the most of your vases and containers at home.

With the expert guidance of Laura, create a pretty posy to take home and enjoy!


Schools Countryside Day wins Fallago support

The Duke of Roxburghe was thrilled to be able to announce this fantastic grant!

The Fund shares the benefits of Fallago Rig Wind Farm with projects across the Borders and will support the Schools Countryside Day for the next three years, enabling over 1200 primary 5 pupils from 60 schools to learn about farming, food production and rural life.
