Massed Pipe Band Day

A fantastic day out for the whole family.

Join hundreds of spectators at Floors Castle and prepare to be marveled at our annual Massed Pipe Band day. A long-established Castle tradition, this memorable day out originally initiated by the present Duke’s father is not to be missed.

Watch spectacular Pipe Bands from across the Scottish Borders perform, as well as Highland dancers and Shetland fiddlers. There will also be a horse and carriage parade from The Coaching Club – it really is a sight to behold!

Tasty food and refreshments will be available on the day too in our Food Village from an assortment of fantastic suppliers.

There will be an array of childrens activities, including: bouncy castles, lawn games and bungee trampolines. The Roxburgh Shooting School will also be running tomahawk throwing sessions for adults too. Keep an eye out for Jonah the magician who will be walking amongst the crowds performing some fantastic magic tricks!

The Courtyard Café will be open all day for you to enjoy delicious homemade made paninis, soups, hot & cold drinks and ice-cream! Or, why not take a stroll over to the Terrace Café for a delicious dine-in lunch made from the finest seasonal local produce. The perfect Sunday afternoon treat to enjoy with family and friends.

Gates open at 11am. Event admission of £10 per adult, £5 per child. includes parking and access to Gardens and Grounds.
