Mother’s Day – Free Weekend Entry

Mothering Sunday is the 27th of March this year, and we’re celebrating all types of mothers with Free Weekend Entry to our Grounds, Walled Garden and Children’s Play Park.

Need some fresh air? A day out to reconnect with nature? Some much-needed family time? A change of scenery to walk the dogs? Treat the mother figure in your life, whether that’s your mother, father, grandma, auntie, friend or just someone who’s really been there for you to a day out at Floors Castle, we’re even celebrating all the dog mums out there!

From 10.30am – 4pm Everyone Goes Free to Floors Walled Garden, Grounds & Playpark on the 26th & 27th of March*

Prebooking is not required for this event, free entry is permitted through the Main Golden Gates on Roxburgh Street in Kelso.

Bring the bikes and enjoy our cycle trail overlooking the River Tweed or go wildlife spotting through the woodland walk around the estate, Walk alongside the banks of the stunning River Tweed, or enjoy a delicious lunch at the Terrace Café, now serving a new Spring menu! The Apple Shed Giftshop & Deli will also be open which has a beautiful selection of fabulous children’s books, homeware and Floors Castle produce, including our famous freezer meals.

*Please note the Castle is closed throughout the winter and will reopen again for the season on the 9th of April 2022. There will be access to the site via the Main Golden Gates on Roxburgh Street in Kelso, TD5 7RL, allowing easy access to cars, pedestrians and cyclists. Parking will be available in the Woodland Carpark or at the Terrace Café. Last entry through Golden Gates- 3pm.

Hampers

Choose from our Tweed, Bowmont or Kale Hamper. Edible gifts are always a winner with sweet treats, savoury nibbles and preserves to choose from. The Castle Kitchen makes a fantastic selection of jam, chutney and marmalade along with biscuits and other nibbles. Many of which are favourites of the Duke and Duchess of Roxburghe. But what is more indulgent than a hamper filled with locally made goodies?

Annual Pass £25

Our 12-month pass is incredible value and allows the cardholder unlimited access to Floors Castle, Gardens, Play Area and Grounds during the main season and unlimited access to the Walled Gardens during the winter season. (under 16s go free)

Seasonal Grounds Pass – £10

The Seasonal Grounds Pass will be valid 9th April – 30th September 2022 when our Estate is open to the public. The pass includes UNLIMITED access to our Grounds only which include the woodland and riverside walks and cycle trail. Enjoy a stroll with the dog, or a family picnic on the expansive Castle lawns- the perfect spot for views across the surrounding Scottish Borders countryside. (under 16s go free)
