Situated a short distance away from the picturesque, cobbled town of Kelso in the Scottish Borders, lies the romantic Floors Castle, the centrepiece of the beautiful Roxburghe Estate since it was constructed over 300 years ago for the 1st Duke of Roxburghe.

This magnificent edifice is a treasury of sumptuous tapestries, art, porcelain and 18th century French furniture, set in extensive parkland and gardens overlooking the majestic River Tweed.

We welcome visitors from near and far to come and enjoy this inspiring Castle and its surroundings. From our spectacular Victorian Walled Garden with glasshouses, herbaceous borders and a formal Millennium Garden, to woodland and riverside walks and a delightful cycle trail, there is so much to discover.

Families are always welcome, and kids go free, so come and join us for a great day out.

Each Castle, Gardens & Grounds Day Ticket purchased is valid for seven days from the date of admission.

This means that visitors can enjoy all that Floors has to offer as many times as they like during that period, so if the Scottish weather scuppers your plans to enjoy the gardens or a walk around the estate, you can always try again on a better day.

Lovely grounds but the highlight is the Terrace Cafe. We booked afternoon tea for 4 during a getaway and it surpassed our expectations. Delicious cakes and plenty of tasty sandwiches. Friendly and helpful service. Would definitely return!

Enjoy 7 days access to the Gardens and Grounds of Floors Castle. Visit the Walled Garden and Glasshouses, meander through the formal Millennium Garden, and take a jaunt through the Grounds on foot or by bike. Picnics and dogs are welcome. Kids go free.
