What’s On at Floors Castle in 2024

2024 is shaping up to be a great year at Floors Castle, and we are hosting a series of exciting events throughout the season to come.

Throughout the year we run a diverse series of events, aiming is to provide something for everyone. This season we are bringing live music to Floors Castle, along with gardens events, outdoor theatre, behind the scenes tours, fitness events and family fun for all ages!

We are continually enhancing our attraction to offer you and your family the best day out in Scotland! Visit the beautiful Castle with our friendly guides on hand to point out our unique collection, and our fascinating history, our stunning gardens and Queen Victoria’s tea house, and explore the outdoors with wonderful woodland and riverside walks.

Sunday 7th July Little Women – Open Air Theatre

Chapterhouse Theatre Company are delighted to present Louisa May Alcott’s beloved coming of age story. This summer, meet headstrong Jo March and her sisters Meg, Amy, and Beth. Each sister is determined to pursue her own path in life, but though their dreams may be different, their family ties remain as true as ever. An uplifting and heartfelt tale of the March sisters’ journey into adulthood and all the trials and triumphs that come with it, Little Women features authentic costuming and a beautiful musical score.

Friday the 12th of July Private Evening Gardening Tour with Fizz and Canapés – July

Join our Assistant Head Gardener, Kate McClorey, for an exclusive after hours tour of the Walled Gardens followed by fizz and canapés

Saturday 13th July Kelso Civic Week 10k Run

Kelso Crawlers in partnership with the Kelso Laddies Association are once again delighted to be holding the Kelso 10k entirely in the grounds of the fabulous historic and scenic grounds of Floors Castle. After so much positive feedback from runners and their supporters last year we are very much looking forward to hosting this event again in 2024.

Sunday 14th of July Peter Pan

Get ready to think happy thoughts and fly high as the mischievous Peter embarks on an awfully big adventure, introducing Wendy Darling to the lost boys, the cheeky Tinkerbell, the hilarious Smee, and a host of other exciting characters before facing the most feared villain of them all, the infamous Captain Hook!

Saturday 20th July Animal Encounters – Native Species

Learn all about the amazing Native Species we have living here in the UK. What better way to learn about them then meeting some of their bigger, brighter, exotic cousins, such as Corn Snakes, Tree Frogs and Tarantulas. This show will hopefully inspire you to take a look around and see what nature you can find in our own outdoor spaces.

Saturday 27th July Animal Encounters – Weapons & Armour

Compare the weapons and armour that us humans have used in battles of the past with the amazing attack and defence arsenal and methods of some amazing animals. Meet the likes of Scorpions, Snakes and Cockroaches as we take a look at all the awesome ways they can protect themselves and attack their enemies in those fight or flight moments!
