A unique opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK’s few wild Grey Partridge recovery projects.
Roxburghe Estates, situated in the Eastern Scottish Borders, is a prestigious sporting estate renowned for its Grouse, Pheasant, and more recently Grey Partridge shooting.
Overview
We are seeking a self-motivated individual with a strong understanding of conservation and habitat management, a proven ability to conduct exemplary predator control in line with current legislation, and excellent communication skills.
The successful applicant will be required to work with limited supervision, as well as part of a team comprising of head-keeper and two other beat-keepers. The successful candidate will continue the great relationship the outgoing keeper has established with the Estate’s tenant farmers, who farm the land that forms the beat.
This unique role requires knowledge and experience of wild game management, and the ability to learn from others.

Clean driving license together with current firearms and shotgun licences must be held.
