How to get to Floors Castle
Sat Nav Postcode for Golden Gates at the top of Roxburgh Street (open in the main season) – TD5 7RL. Floors Castle, Kelso, Scottish Borders, Scotland.
Sat Nav Postcode for Gardens and Terrace Café entrance and all entry from the 22nd of September 2025 – TD5 7RN
Once you are in the environs of Kelso, please look for the many brown tourist signs directing you to Floors Castle. These can be found dotted around the market town and approach roads. Please refer to the Google map above – click it to go to Google Maps.
Entrances: We have two entrances to the Castle and Estate. The main Golden Gates and driveway at the top of Roxburgh Street are open through the main open season, offering you stunning views of the castle as you enter and arrive at our free parking site. Visitors requiring the Terrace Café and the Gardens can enter through the rear entrance off the B6397.
Please note from the 22nd of September 2025 the the main Golden Gates to the Estate on Roxburgh Street will remain closed until Spring 2026. All access to the Estate is via the Terrace Café and Gardens entrance on the B6397 only.
By Road: There are three major trunk roads within the Scottish Borders; the A1 in the East, the A7 and the A68 in the Central Borders.
By Rail: The Scottish Borders is accessible by train on the East Coast rail line between London and Edinburgh stopping at Berwick-Upon-Tweed which lies approximately half an hour away. Public transport operates from the town. The stunning Borders Railway line stretches for 30 miles and takes just 55 minutes from Edinburgh city centre, through Midlothian to Tweedbank in the Scottish Borders.
