What’s On at Floors Castle in 2024

2024 is shaping up to be a great year at Floors Castle, and we are hosting a series of exciting events throughout the season to come.

Throughout the year we run a diverse series of events, aiming is to provide something for everyone. This season we are bringing live music to Floors Castle, along with gardens events, outdoor theatre, behind the scenes tours, fitness events and family fun for all ages!

We are continually enhancing our attraction to offer you and your family the best day out in Scotland! Visit the beautiful Castle with our friendly guides on hand to point out our unique collection, and our fascinating history, our stunning gardens and Queen Victoria’s tea house, and explore the outdoors with wonderful woodland and riverside walks.

Saturday 27th July Animal Encounters – Weapons & Armour

Compare the weapons and armour that us humans have used in battles of the past with the amazing attack and defence arsenal and methods of some amazing animals. Meet the likes of Scorpions, Snakes and Cockroaches as we take a look at all the awesome ways they can protect themselves and attack their enemies in those fight or flight moments!

Saturday 3rd August Roxburghe Rocks!

Floors Castle will play host to three world class tribute acts, supported by local sensation The Balancing Ducks. Experience iconic glam rock anthems with The Bowie Experience, upbeat soul and disco classics with Capitol Motown & Soul Band, and sing-a-long disco hits with 21st Century Abba!

Friday the 9th of August Private Evening Gardening Tour with Fizz and Canapés – August

Join our Assistant Head Gardener, Kate McClorey, for an exclusive after hours tour of the Walled Gardens followed by frizz and canapés

Saturday 10th August Animal Encounters – The Zagaro

This fun story session is a tale about The Zagaro and takes us on a trip through the deep, dark wood, where our hero of the story, the rat meets a host of ZooLab's weird and wonderful creatures along the way and uses their characteristics to create an imaginary monster to scare away other creatures. You’ll get to meet the very same creatures too, the likes of Millipedes, Snakes and Snails in this fun interactive story session for all ages.

Saturday 24th August Animal Encounters – Creepy Castle Critters

Unlike today, historic castles were colonised by all sorts of creepy critters. In this session, you will take an imaginary journey around the Floors Castle of the past, bumping into some awesome animals along the way. Get the chance to touch and hold the likes of Spiders hiding in the castle kitchen, Snakes slithering around the grounds and even Cockroaches that have been hanging out in the basement!
