Zoolab Explorer Trail – September Adventure!

This September, young explorers can keep their sense of adventure alive at Floors Castle with our FREE Zoolab Explorer Trail, running every day from 1st–30th September. Perfect for weekends, after school or a sunny Autumn day out, it’s a brilliant way to get outside, get active and explore nature together.

Grab your Trail Pack and set off to discover the seven hidden signs around the Castle Gardens, Grounds and Woodland. At each stop, you’ll collect letters to solve our mystery word, and pick up fascinating tips on spotting some of the incredible little creatures living in our beautiful estate.

Along the way, meet our fun Zoolab characters – and don’t forget to check when the real live animals will be visiting for a chance to get up close and hands-on with snakes, spiders, giant snails and more!

Good to Know Before You Go

• This is an Explorer Trail – no arrows this time! Use your map (in your Trail Pack) to navigate the route.

• Time: 10.30am – 4pm (last trail admission 3pm)

• Location: Trail starts at the Walled Garden – enter via the Terrace Café entrance (POSTCODE TD5 7RN)

• Price: Up to three children (15 & under) can take part for free per paying adult (Castle, Gardens & Grounds ticket, Gardens & Grounds ticket or Annual Pass). £2 per extra child.

• Booking: No pre-booking required. If you’ve booked adult tickets online, simply collect your Trail Packs from our Ticket Kiosks on arrival.

• Please bring a pencil to complete your pack (available to purchase if needed).

• The trail is suitable for most off-road buggies, prams and wheelchairs.

• Dogs on leads are welcome throughout the trail, with dog-friendly seating in both cafés and water points available.

• Adult day tickets can be bought on the day at both our Garden Ticket Kiosk and Golden Gates Ticket Kiosk.

• Annual Pass holders get unlimited free entry for up to three children (15 & under) per visit.
