Family Day Out

A wonderful day out awaits children of all ages. From child friendly guided tours of the Castle, to a playground in the Walled Garden, a cycle path and woodland or riverside walks; there's a world of adventure and wildlife to discover.

With a flying fox, swings and monkey bars to name but a few, the children really will have a ball in the playground. The lawn is surrounded by benches so you can sit back, relax and watch the children have a great time. The playground can be found in the Walled Gardens and refreshments and treats for both parents and children can be found in the Terrace Café and enjoyed at the outdoor tables nearer the playground.

We are a family-friendly attraction and offer kids adventures with our playground, special activities and café menus. Children under 16 go free when accompanied by an adult.

Lovely

We spend some nice hours walking to the castle and enjoying the garden! There was an enormous playground the kids liked trying out and we enjoyed some tea in the nice cafe.

We welcome four-legged friends

Dogs on leads are very welcome throughout the grounds and gardens (no dogs inside the castle please). There are tie up points, water points and treats at the Terrace and Courtyard Cafes so they needn’t be shut in the car.

Food at Floors

The Terrace Café situated at the Gardens is open daily all year round. The Courtyard Café is located at the Castle and is open daily from 1st May to 30th September.
